To be successful as a AVP MEx ViR, you should have below skillsets:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound understanding of financial statement analysis
  • Good understanding of financial markets and relationships with major macroeconomic variables
  • Experience in building and maintenance of financial models on MS Excel, and the ability to crunch numbers from large datasets and produce actionable insights/analytics
  • Robust analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work with multiple teams to drive business outcomes

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Post-graduate degree or equivalent in Finance / Accounting. Candidates with CFA/FRM charters are desirable but this is not a mandate
  • Prior experience in developing / execution of stress testing models in the banking industry
  • Understanding of key model risk management principles prescribed by global regulators
  • Hands-on experience in using tools such as Python, Alteryx, Tableau or Qlikview is desirable but not a mandate

This role will be based out of Chennai.

Purpose of the role

To support Screening with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution, making decisions in line with comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards. 

Accountabilities

  • Participate in governance forums.
  • Maintain constant dialogue & engagement with various stakeholders including Production Oversight Committees, IT , QA and relevant project working groups.
  • Design and deliver adequate MI to support the assigned stress testing framework.
  • Optimize existing process workflows and improve efficiencies across Models CoE including early identification, communication and resolution of control failures
  • Interaction on model validation and model risk governance
  • Creating effective challenge framework.
