The Regional Head of Procurement is accountable to lead and scale the Procurement Capability Center in India. The role will be responsible for delivering end-to-end Source to Pay (S2P) capabilities including Strategic Sourcing, Contracting, Third-Party Risk Management, Procure to Pay (P2P), Supplier Governance, Analytics, and Digital Procurement enablement. The role holder will also be the functional lead for Global Procure to Pay capability optimizing S2P cycle times, touchless processing and payment on time. It will drive operational excellence, risk mitigation, cost optimization, and digital transformation while building a high-performing, globally aligned team. Cost savings and value delivery will be a key responsibility alongside compliance with policy and control effectiveness.
Key Accountabilities
Source to Pay Strategy & Leadership
Own and deliver the end-to-end S2P operating model. Align capability center priorities with global procurement strategy. Drive cost savings, value creation, compliance, and supplier performance. Lead governance forums and stakeholder engagement across regions and business units.
Strategic Sourcing & Category Enablement
Oversee sourcing execution support across global categories. Ensure robust RFx management, negotiation support, and benchmarking. Build category intelligence, should-cost models, and market insights. Drive pipeline visibility and savings tracking.
Contracting & Commercial Excellence
Lead contract lifecycle management (CLM) capability. Ensure commercial risk mitigation and standardisation of terms. Partner with Legal to streamline contracting workflows. Improve cycle times and enhance contracting automation.
Third Party Risk Management (TPRM)
Oversee onboarding, due diligence, and risk assessment processes. Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal risk frameworks. Drive continuous monitoring of suppliers (financial, operational, ESG, cyber). Embed risk-based segmentation and controls.
Global Procure to Pay (P2P) Operations
Lead purchase requisition to invoice payment processes. Ensure SLA adherence, process efficiency, and internal customer satisfaction. Drive invoice automation, touchless processing, and working capital optimization. Monitor compliance to buying channels and policies.
Digital & Transformation
Own procurement systems landscape (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa or equivalent). Lead automation, AI enablement, and analytics initiatives. Drive data governance, dashboards, and performance reporting. Deliver continuous improvement and process standardization globally.
Governance, Controls & Compliance
Ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance. Drive policy adherence across sourcing and P2P. Strengthen controls framework to mitigate operational and financial risk.
People & Capability Development
Build and lead a high-performing team across sourcing, contracting, risk, and P2P. Develop future-ready skills (analytics, negotiation, digital, risk). Drive talent development, succession planning, and engagement. Foster a culture of ownership, service excellence, and innovation.
