Embark on a transformative journey as a “Senior Data Manager” at Barclays, where you'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. You'll harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionize our digital offerings, ensuring unapparelled customer experiences. The purpose of the role is to manage various FinCrime Execution related MI, both BAU and new requests. The role will work alongside the EDD Team, Risk Assessment Unit and Coverage to collate, analysis and distribute Key data to help drive enhanced Client reviews or investigations. This role will require creation of BAU reports and adhoc bespoke reports.

To be a successful as a Senior Data Manager, you should have experience with :

·Oversee Collation, analysis distribution MI to management and stakeholders across the bank.

·Manage one MI Analyst supporting the business.

·Demonstrate a thorough understanding of multiple software systems and a detailed working knowledge of Excel or other data systems to merge and filter large quantities of data for ease of use.

oCreate and maintain Tableau dashboards utilised by Financial Crime Execution for reporting and analysis purpose. This role requires someone with strong Tableau coding, governance and oversight experience.

oCreate and maintain Databases/Excel for workflow including vba/macro’s and general formula’s. Where possible suggesting better systems for data management / migration.

oExtract data from Barclays source systems (such as Fullserve and Jetbridge) to identify high-risk customers requiring Forum and to enhance data points available for review including SAR’s, Court Orders, payment information where required and anomalies requiring investigation.

oCreate and run SQL code to be able to obtain data for the team from our data warehouse. This includes ad hoc work in obtaining data through SQL and creating MI from this for various stakeholders.

·Prepare MI relating to the HR Forums to present at the monthly/annual risk forums (e.g. EDD breaches, Attestation letters, Scorecard, risk trends etc.)

oContribute to the enhancement of the HR Forum function to enhanced oversight, drive efficiencies and automation of activities where possible.

oThe role holder will be required to assess and identify areas of focus from the MI so as to advise peers, Management and others of potential issues which require further focus.

oPrepare MI Reports for Manager to present at Senior Management Meetings

·Team level MI

oSupport the wider FCE team with all matters pertaining to MI relating to customer types and activities.

oProvide data analysis of FCE activities to understand team productivity.

oProduce a random sample for the FCE team to QA/QC sample.

·Strong communication skills are required to influence peers and management of the impact to adhere to findings.

·Support work with change programmes to enable improvements such as testing processes and running pilots.

·Support Financial Crime Execution design improvements and process structuring such that the teams operates efficiently.Engage with peers and management to highlight and mitigate any issues as they are identified.

 Stakeholder Management and Leadership

Key referral point for Stakeholders consuming the data which include, senior representatives from Coverage, Financial Crime, EDD and Risk Assessment Unit. Data will include highly sensitive information, and will require the candidate to be attentive and accurate in portrayal of the meetings through production of minutes.

The role holder will manage one data analyst.

This role is based in our Gurgaon office.

Purpose of the role

To enable data-driven strategic and operational decision making through extracting actionable insights from large datasets, performing statistical and advanced analytics to uncover trends and patterns, and presenting findings through clear visualisations and reports.

Accountabilities

  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification, documenting data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with recommendations for improvement.
  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations, develop validated logical data models, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations that drive operational and process improvements, leveraging machine learning/AI.
  • Through data-driven analysis, translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations, identifying opportunities for operational and process improvements.
  • Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools and automate reporting processes for regular and ad-hoc stakeholder needs.
