Embark on a transformative journey as a Vice President- Analytics, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Barclays UK (BUK) Data & Analytics (DNA) team, your role involves identifying and evaluating commercial opportunities and risks, prioritizing work across the BUK, and leading virtual teams to investigate these issues. You will use hypothesis-driven analytics to provide insights that drive the Retail and Business Bank's agenda, creating value for customers, colleagues, the community, and the company. Key responsibilities include proactively identifying risks and opportunities, leveraging data to support the Barclays Information Business strategy, advising senior leaders, and leading initiatives to improve data accuracy and availability. You will also manage stakeholder relationships, communicate complex ideas effectively, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

To be successful as a Vice President- Analytics, you should have experience with:

  • Thought Leadership: Frame problems and opportunities, generate ideas collaboratively, and build a pipeline of work to challenge business thinking.
  • People Leadership: Support and develop team members throughout their development journey, enhancing their capabilities and mindset.
  • Project Leadership: Define project scopes, deliver through others, plan appropriately, manage stakeholders, and navigate the organization to achieve goals.
  • Role Model: Exemplify organizational values and standards, contribute to various initiatives, manage performance, and influence others to deliver outstanding results.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate complex ideas effectively and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • In depth understanding of how the business can create value through the application of information and analytics
  • Extensive experience in creating business models, both financial and consumer behavioural
  • Deep experience on how to marry innovative customer analysis with the identification of commercial opportunities.
  • Extensive experience of statistical analysis techniques
  • Expert user of programming in at least one computer language e.g. SAS, R, Python
  • Working knowledge of financial and management accounting

The location for this role is Noida, IN.

Purpose of the role

To extract meaningful insights from complex data sets, developing robust decision models, and presenting actionable recommendations to stakeholders across the departments. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification and extraction of relevant data from various internal and external sources.
  • Performing sensitivity analysis and scenario planning.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of the performance of existing models.
  • Development and implementation of data quality control procedures.
  • Building and validation of quantitative models to support decision-making across different business areas.

Vice President Expectations

  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organization functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem solving processes.
  • Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes.
