Explore locationAs a Country Compliance Western Europe AVP, you will support and work with the head of Western Europe Country Compliance as part of a small and dynamic team. There will be close interaction with European compliance colleagues requiring excellent coordination and communication skills. This is a high-exposure role within a challenging banking environment and we are looking for a candidate that will be tested daily on his/her ability to deliver quality, to tight deadlines while communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
To be successful as Country Compliance Western Europe AVP, you should have:
The suitable candidate will possess fluency in English and French (oral and written) and display a high level of analytical thinking, together with a high standard of judgement, problem solving and persuasion skills.
Exposure and experience working in Financial Services experience, ideally gained in the legal and / or compliance function of a French investment bank or a regional subsidiary of an international financial institution or at a major law firm, if combined with banking background and / or stages in relevant business or infrastructure areas of a financial institution.

This role will be based in Paris.
Purpose of the role
To provide data-led expert oversight and check and challenge on business and compliance matters to evidence that the organisation is operating in a compliance with Barclays legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities.
