The role provides 24x7 support of the company’s business technologies helping to maintain the highest levels of uptime and reliability.
To be successful as a (Data Center Operations Technician), you should have experience with:
Racking and Stacking of Servers and other Devices in a Data Center
Installation and testing of Data Cabling (Cat 6, Fiber, etc.)
Diagnose and Troubleshoot hardware issues with servers and other devicesEmbark on a transformative journey as a (Data Center Operations Technician). The Data Center Operations (DCOPS) technician plays a vital role in the overall success of Barclays. The role provides 24x7 support of the company’s business technologies helping to maintain the highest levels of uptime and reliability.
Proficient use of Productivity software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
Understanding of change and/or incident management in a similar support function (supporting software tools)
Some other highly valued skills include:
Ability to work 12 hours a day (Night or Day shift) including weekends and holidays
Comptia Server+ qualification
Flexibility to travel between operational sites as required

Purpose of the role
To effectively monitor and maintain the bank’s critical technology infrastructure and resolve more complex technical issues, whilst minimising disruption to operations.
