You will work closely with AI Architects, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists to build scalable AI systems and applications. At Barclays, we don't just anticipate the future - we're creating it.
To be successful in this role, you should have below skills:
Programming and Software Development: Develop and maintain AI models and algorithms using programming languages such as Python, R, Java, and C++ 1.
Software Engineering: Apply software engineering principles, including distributed computing, time-frequency analysis, UNIX tools, and advanced signal processing techniques 1.
Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Solve complex problems both autonomously and as part of a team, ensuring that AI solutions are robust and effective 1.
Code Transformation and Refactoring: Translate legacy code into modern programming languages, refactor existing code to align with cloud-native principles, and optimize performance 2.
Data Transformation and Schema Conversion: Generate scripts for data transformation, ensuring compatibility between source and target database schemas 2.
Automated Test Case Generation: Analyze application code, user stories, and requirements to automatically generate comprehensive test cases 2.
Self-Healing Test Scripts: Identify changes in the application under test and automatically update test scripts 2.
Automated Data Validation: Automate data cleansing and validation processes, detecting inconsistencies and errors in migrated data

Proficiency in Python, R, Java, C++
Experience developing and maintaining AI models and algorithms
