To be successful as an Automation Engineer , you should have experience with:
Good experience in software testing with exp in test automation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer certification (preferred).
hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, or similar).
Proficiency in BDD/TDD methodologies and implementing Gherkin-based test scenarios.
Experience with API testing tools (REST Assured, Postman, SoapUI).
Strong knowledge of CI/CD integration (Jenkins and GitLab CI).
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native testing.
Experience with test automation for mobile applications (Appium, Espresso).
Experience with message queue testing (Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ).
Knowledge of ISO 20022 payment standards (SEPA, FPS, SWIFT).
Familiarity with service virtualization tools (WireMock, Mountebank).
Experience with visual regression testing and accessibility testing.

The role is based out of Pune.
Purpose of the role
To design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, to ensure software quality and reliability.
