Explore locationJoin us as an Automation QA at Barclays, where you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of large-scale data platforms. You will work on validating complex data pipelines, cloud-based architectures, and distributed processing systems, enabling high-quality data-driven decision-making. With a primary focus on Big Data testing using Python, Spark, and AWS, you will help build robust, scalable, and high-performing data validation frameworks.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
Strong hands-on experience in Big Data testing using Python and PySpark.
Experience in Cloud testing, with preference for AWS (S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, etc.)
Proficiency in Spark SQL for validating data across distributed systems (not traditional RDBMS SQL).
Strong Python scripting skills for automation, data validation, and framework development.
Some of Highly Valued Skills may include:
Experience working with Databricks Notebooks for exploratory testing and validation.
Familiarity with Databricks platform and workflows.
Knowledge of data pipeline validation and ETL testing.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
Understanding of data quality frameworks and validation techniques.

To design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, to ensure software quality and reliability.
