Building and deploying Copilot agents — declarative agents covering the manifest and agent definition, instructions, knowledge sources, API plugin actions with OpenAPI specifications, packaging and the M365 admin approval process — together with an informed view of when a custom engine agent is the right choice.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID: users, groups and licensing, app registrations, enterprise applications and service principals, delegated versus application permissions and admin consent, and conditional access concepts.

Proven delivery within an Agile team — backlog refinement, estimation, sprint commitment, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives, using Jira or Azure DevOps.
Ability to contribute to design and architecture: producing and reviewing high- and low-level designs and authentication and integration flow diagrams, and assessing non-functional requirements such as availability, resilience and security.
Clear written and verbal communication, with the confidence to engage stakeholders outside the immediate team and explain technical detail to a non-technical audience.

Exposure to Copilot Cowork or other agentic, task-based working patterns, including the governance and data-handling considerations around them.
Building Microsoft Graph connectors to bring external content into the Copilot grounding surface, and working with change notifications and webhooks.
Teams app development using the Teams Toolkit, Adaptive Cards or the Bot Framework.
Azure fundamentals and hosting experience — App Service, Functions, API Management and Key Vault — along with Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Foundry exposure.
Retrieval-augmented generation concepts, prompt engineering, evaluation and responsible AI practice.
Infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Power Platform capability across Power Apps, Power Automate, custom connectors and Dataverse.
Familiarity with M365 guardrails and compliance controls, including data loss prevention, retention and sensitivity labelling, external and guest access, and app consent policy.
