Explore locationJoin us as a Data Analyst at Barclays where you will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights while contributing to the design, development, and operationalization of scalable data solutions. You will work across business, data, and technology domains, leveraging modern data engineering and software engineering practices to deliver trusted, high-quality data products that support critical business decisions. The role combines analytical expertise with hands-on data modelling, enabling the development of robust data pipelines, APIs, reporting solutions, and data-driven products aligned to Barclays' Corporate data Services agenda.
To be successful as a Data Analyst, you should have experience with:
Advanced SQL and data modelling for large-scale enterprise data platforms
Experience on real-time data processing and Data engineering technologies such as Mongo DB, Snowflake, or equivalent database platforms
Understanding of SWIFT messaging standards: ISO 20022 (pain, pacs, camt) and SWIFT MT formats
Domain knowledge of Payment processing systems, Clearing and settlement workflows, and financial message flows
Proven experience creating source‑to‑target mapping documents for data integration projects
Skills to define canonical data models, event schemas, and reporting structures across Kafka/Flink streaming pipelines and MongoDB
Analyse event‑driven data flows, define mappings and acceptance criteria, validate data accuracy, and ensure delivered APIs meet client, regulatory, and operational reporting needs
Some other highly valued skills may include:
MongoDB, SQL proficiency for data analysis and validation
REST APIs, Microservices, and event-driven architecture concepts
Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka/Flink)
Experience with data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data lineage frameworks

The role is based out of Pune.
