Explore locationJoin us as a Financial Crime Agile Testing Lead at Barclays, where you'll shape how the bank assures, tests, and strengthens its financial crime controls. This is a high-visibility opportunity to build and evolve an agile testing capability from the ground up, driving testing strategy, influencing senior stakeholders, and applying a consultancy-style mindset to delivery, communication, and continuous improvement. You’ll play a meaningful role in helping Barclays manage financial crime risk, protect customers, and strengthen the bank’s control environment.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills including assurance testing, financial crime investigations, agile delivery, stakeholder management, and written and verbal communication.
To be successful as a Financial Crime Agile Testing Lead, you should have experience with:
Basic/ Essential Qualifications:
* Experience in Financial Crime Assurance or Control Testing within a 2nd line function including understanding of investigative processes and control or hypothesis testing.
* Strong risk and control mindset, with the ability to identify, assess, test, and challenge compliance and financial crime risks across business activities, processes, systems, and controls.
* Line management and project management experience, including leading teams, managing day-to-day delivery, developing colleagues, and driving performance against priorities.
Desirable skillsets/ good to have:
* Stakeholder management experience, with the ability to engage, influence, and provide check and challenge to senior stakeholders across Compliance, 1LOD, and risk management functions.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to produce clear testing outputs, senior-level materials, memos, and communications that support the insights, observations or outcomes.
* Experience in advisory or consulting roles, agile delivery, and use of case management systems (like Salesforce) to support testing, oversight, and continuous improvement.
This role will be based out of Pune, India.
Purpose of the role
To provide data-led expert oversight and check and challenge on business and compliance matters to evidence that the organisation is operating in a compliance with Barclays legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities.
