Embark on a transformative journey as a IFC Data- Business Analyst is responsible for defining, analyzing and translating business requirements into well‑structured Data Products that support analytics, reporting, controls and decision‑making across the organization.

The role acts as a critical link between business stakeholders, data design and technology teams, ensuring data requirements are clearly articulated, governed and delivered in a manner that is scalable, compliant and reusable.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Data Requirements

  • Elicit, analyses and document business, functional and data requirements for Data Products.

  • Translate business problems and control needs into clear data requirements, use cases and acceptance criteria.

  • Produce high‑quality requirement artefacts including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), data requirement specifications and user stories.

Data Product Definition

  • Support the definition of Data Product scope, objectives, consumers and success metrics.

  • Work with stakeholders to identify required data entities, attributes, metrics and business rules.

  • Ensure requirements consider downstream consumption, including analytics, MI, reporting and operational use.

Data Discovery & Analysis

  • Perform data discovery across source systems to understand data availability, quality and gaps.

  • Support data profiling and analysis to validate assumptions and inform design decisions.

  • Collaborate with data modelers and engineers to clarify transformation logic and data semantics.

Governance, Risk & Control

  • Ensure requirements incorporate data quality, privacy, security, access and records management considerations.

  • Support traceability from business requirements through to delivered data products.

  • Assist in issue analysis, change impact assessment and prioritization.

Collaboration & Delivery Support

  • Act as a trusted partner to business, data and technology teams throughout delivery.

  • Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews and testing activities.

  • Support go‑live readiness, documentation and handover to run‑the‑bank teams.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in data‑driven or analytics‑focused initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of data concepts, including entities, attributes, metrics and data flows.

  • Experience defining requirements for Data Products, data platforms or reporting solutions.

  • Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.

  • Strong documentation, analytical and communication skills.

  • Experience working in regulated or control‑driven environments.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to data modelling concepts (conceptual/logical understanding).

  • Experience supporting data quality, governance or regulatory initiatives.

  • Familiarity with agile delivery methods and tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).

  • Experience supporting data modernization or platform migration programs.

This role is based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
  • Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
  • Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.
