Key Accountabilities:

The role is 80% software development and 20% L3 production support.

You are expected to develop high quality maintainable code for yourself and team.

You are expected to make technical decisions that require a strong understanding of the problem domain.

You are expected to collaborate and communicate globally with other developers and team leads to build technical solutions.

You are expected to have a strong knowledge of software development methods, tools and standards and ensure the team complies with said practices. You are expected to adhere to Policies & Standards appropriate to the role - outlined in the Code of Conduct and mandatory training.

Timely investigation and resolution of production issues.

A good understanding of software development life cycle. Must be able to learn on the job.

Essential Skills:

Deep understanding of Object-Oriented and Functional Programming.

Deep understanding of Microservice architecture.

Excellent coding skills in Java and Spring Boot.

Excellent coding skills in Python.

Good to have practical experience on Bottle and Flask frameworks. Excellent PL/SQL skills, preferably Oracle.

Understanding of NoSQL database. Good understanding on DevOps (Git, TeamCity, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Nolio etc.)

Additional relevant skills in good understanding of Capital Markets.Good understanding of Sales and Trading Systems predominately into Structured/Exotic Equity Derivatives.

This role is based in Pune.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
