The Lead PMO Analyst role is focused on supporting CDS and its Project Management Office (PMO) team. This variously involves activities including but not limited to: Coordination of regular governance arrangements; Tracking project deliverable and milestone statuses; Supporting adoption of /adherence to project lifecycle; RAID coordination; Regular reporting and analytics; Financial tracking; Workforce management; Change request management; Stakeholder management; post-project reviews; Project closure activities, etc. It also includes provision of guidance, preparation of documentation and tracking of metrics related to the practices surrounding the management and implementation of projects within the organization.
To be successful as a Lead, Programme Management Office, you should have experience with
- Sound experience of the project management lifecycle and the governance aspects thereof. Advanced Excel skills underpinned by a robust understanding of how to analyse financial and project data.
- Strong interest in reporting, excellent presentation skills and an eye for detail coupled with strong PowerPoint. Knowledge and presentation skills, balanced by sound stakeholder management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write and present a range of written materials (presentations, briefings, reports) and to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels in various global locations.
Some other highly valued skills may include
- Experience of developing and managing data reporting would be advantageous, with a background in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance and Capital Markets are highly preferred. Knowledge in program/project management, and delivery and implementation of large technology solutions.
- Good understanding of system development life cycle, project management and system implementation lifecycle methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills, understanding of complex issues, ability to quickly absorb information, conceptual and creative problem-solving excellence.

Purpose of the role
To support change delivery managers in the delivery of successful projects, while ensuring that project management processes and practices are aligned with controls and governance standards and that projects are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.
Accountabilities
- Support to change delivery managers, ensuring their programme is compliant with the Barclays Control Framework, including oversight of controls and governance standards.
- Creation and implementation of standardised PMO processes and methodologies that are aligned with controls and governance standards and that support the delivery of successful projects. .
- Monitoring of project performance, including tracking of project progress, identification of risks assumptions, issues and dependencies, and creation of report on project status to senior management.
- Support of project documentation, including maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensuring that project documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
- Facilitation of project governance, including ensuring that projects are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives, and that project risks assumptions, issues and dependencies are managed effectively.
- Provision of change management framework training to project managers and other stakeholders, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver successful projects. .
- Continuous improvement of project management practices, including identification of areas for improvement and implementation of changes to improve project delivery.
