To be successful in this role, you should have below skills:
Experience in Java 8-21
Spring Ecosystem Proficiency – Hands-on with Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Cloud.
Strong experience in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, SQL Server, Microservices, and Event driven architectures
Back-end development with Java/Spring Boot
Relational databases like SQL Server
Build Tools like Maven or Gradle
Experience in using tools like Gitlab Duo for generating test cases, Gitlab for deployment
Microservices & API Engineering – Designing scalable, resilient microservices with REST APIs, Open API standards.
SQL & Data Layer Development – Strong SQL skills, query tuning, schema design, and integration with microservices.
Cloud & Containers (OpenShift/Kubernetes) – Deploying, scaling, and managing microservices on OCP with Docker/K8s concepts.
CI/CD & DevOps Practices – Pipeline setup on DevOps/GitLab; Git workflows; code quality and automation.
Problem Solving & Distributed Debugging – Strong RCA skills, log analysis, production incident handling, performance tuning.
Some other highly valued skills may include below:
Prior experience in building caching implementation like Ignite/Grid gain/Coherence is a plus
Experience in working Agile/Scrum methodology
Experience of Cloud technologies such as OpenShift or AWS.
Experience using observability tools such as logging and metrics for debugging (Elastic/Kibana)
Strong oral/verbal communication skills.
