To be successful in this role, you should have below skills:
- Manage the risk & compliance position for Network platform team within Global technology infrastructure tower.
- Knowledge of the major components in Network technology space.
- Competent in discussing technologies and products with vendors/auditors.
- Proven experience in risk and control management for infrastructure technology areas, preferably in a regulated financial services environment.
- Drive the remediation of vulnerabilities in Network products. Ensure all vulnerabilities are treated within the SLA per the vulnerability management standard.
- Ensure that controls for cryptography are in place for all cryptographic assets in Network estate including inventory, algorithms, key length and key rotation. Key compromise plan and life cycle management are documented for the services in scope.
- New products in Network are assessed for technology & cyber control effectiveness like security configuration, backups, resilience, vulnerability & configuration management.
- Interface with technology teams to build a robust security framework for Network technology.
- Review, drive & implement the industry security best practices for Network technologies.
- Drives the definition of the Network Services: controls, risk appetite and mitigation, reporting and metrics for external and internal audit, attestations etc.
- Interfaces and influences stakeholders of Networks Platforms, including internal and external auditors, Central risk functions and business units to deliver control requirements and agree roadmaps
- Works closely with and represents the Network Product to teams including Engineering, Architecture, Group Risk, Group Security, and BCM. Ensure planned changes to sister IS services and architectures are in line with the Network risk and compliance roadmap, and vice versa
- Guide and matrix-manage multiple Barclay’s teams to deliver the Network risk and compliance agenda
- Document waiver & breaches for risk gaps in technology & cyber controls & track the remediation of the breach actions as per the SLA agreed with CCO(Chief Control Office) team.

Purpose of the role

Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of the systems, platforms, and technology through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response.
Accountabilities
- Build Engineering: Development, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality infrastructure solutions to fulfil business requirements ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use. Including the identification of the appropriate technologies and solutions to meet business, optimisation, and resourcing requirements.
- Incident Management: Monitoring of IT infrastructure and system performance to measure, identify, address, and resolve any potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages. Use of data to drive down mean time to resolution.
- Automation: Development and implementation of automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention, utilising software scripting/coding disciplines.
- Security: Implementation of a secure configuration and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities, and other security threats, including protection of hardware, software, and data from unauthorised access.
- Teamwork: Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define IT Infrastructure requirements, devise solutions, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives via a data driven approach.
- Learning: Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
