Senior Software Engineer

As a part of the team, you will deliver technology stack, using strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand the business requirements and deliver quality solutions. You'll be working on complex technical problems that will involve detailed analytical skills and analysis. This will be done in conjunction with fellow engineers, business analysts and business stakeholders. 

To be successful as a Senior Software Engineer, you should have experience with:

• Good SQL knowledge and TWS expertise.

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in DevOps tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, Chef, GitLab, Nexus.

• Strong exposure in scripting skill- PL/SQL, Unix shell / Python would be an added advantage.

• Experience in config and Implementation activities.

• Strong Knowledge of cloud infrastructure management and automation technologies (Chef, Terraform etc.).

• Strong knowledge of scripted and declarative Jenkins pipeline.

• Expected to implement and maintain automation scripts using shell or Python to support the build and deployment processes.

• Excellent communication skills [verbal and written] and collaboration skills are essential.

• Ability to work independently.

The role is based out of Pune. 

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
