To be successful as a Sr Automation Engineer you should have experience with:
Programming: Proficiency in languages like Java, Python to write and maintain scripts and design robust BDD frameworks for test automation.
Expertise in frameworks (Selenium) and test management tools (Jira, TestRail).
Skills in testing REST/SOAP APIs (e.g., with Postman, JMeter) and CI/CD: Knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc, for continuous integration.
Strong Experience of any Banking applications, Corporate Banking will be preferred.
Leadership skills mentoring, strategy, communication, stakeholder management, process driving, analytical abilities problem-solving, root cause analysis, risk assessment, SQL to build and guide high-performing teams, and ensure quality across fast-paced projects, blending deep QA knowledge with management acumen.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Communication: Excellent interaction with developers, stakeholders, and the team.
Agile & DevOps: Deep familiarity with these methodologies, , version control (Git), and Continuous Delivery.
Adaptability & Continuous Learning: Staying current with new tech and trends, like AI capabilities, GitLAB Duo knowledge.
Taking proactive steps to maintain skills in relevant specialist areas, and continuously broadening knowledge of systems and technologies used within Barclays Group.

The role is based out of Pune.
Purpose of the role
To design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, to ensure software quality and reliability.
