You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as experience with Risk Management Frameworks, as well as job-specific skillsets. Key Frameworks team activity consists of:
Creation and maintenance of Compliance, Financial Crime and Reputational Risk framework documents, and their associated metrics and dashboards.
Co-ordination of the annual Policies and Standards Review, and their associated control landscape.
Oversight and QA of policy / standard and related documents to ensure adherence to Barclays Control Framework requirements.
Ownership and membership of various Controls Fora.
Horizon scanning.
External engagement with regulatory bodies / peer organizations / industry across risk types.
Management of the Compliance Risk boundary.
Contributions to various risk assessment processes.
To be successful as a "Vice President- Policies and Frameworks", you should have experience with:
Knowledge of the Conduct regulatory environment and risk management frameworks.
Understanding of US/UK/EU/other jurisdictional laws, regulations, regulations, and industry best practice.
Approachable, straightforward, resilient, persuasive – strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Experience drafting policies and/or procedures.
Strong leadership skills – ability to encourage, engage and empower.
Proven track record of stakeholder management skills.
Ability to distil complex issues to clear and concise briefings for senior management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable skillsets/ good to have:
Experience of working within a highly regulated environment along with a sound understanding of the current environment and key issue within financial services.
Experience managing Compliance Risk, and in particular, working with Policy frameworks.
The location is based out of Pune.
Purpose of the role
To provide data-led expert oversight and check and challenge on business and compliance matters to evidence that the organisation is operating in a compliance with Barclays legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities.
