Embark on a transformative journey as a VP- Chief Controls Office Tech and CSO (Chief Security Office) CBP (Control Business Partnering) , where you’ll play a pivotal role in managing Barclays TechnologyRisk and controls posture within appetite and ensure compliance to Barclays Control Framework . Your key responsibilities include identifying and driving the opportunities to enhance operational efficiencies through automation of controls and simplification of controls procresses . Your role will also have the opportunity to work closely with key stakeholders within the CCO (Chief Controls Office), Technology, Chief Security Office, Internal Audit, External Audit, Compliance and Regulatory Relations.

To be successful in this role, you should have,

  • Extensive work experience in relevant industry with strong background in risk management, technology and information security.

  • Experience in managing Technology Risk and Controls,  leveraging IT risk frameworks such as  ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), COBIT5 (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology), COSO, NIST and strong understanding of industry standards and  best practices.

  • Good awareness of key security knowledge domains and how control requirements are baked in during solution design phase of Agile development process.

  • Good understanding of emerging technologies includingCloud ,AI and relevant risk and controls.

Some of Highly Valued Skills may include,

  • Experience in Control automation,  Tech assurance, audit or Cyber risk and control function/role.

  • Advising IT on pragmatic approaches to meet regulatory mandated technology controls and deliver risk reduction and operational improvement projects.

  • Managing diverse staff and stakeholders.

  • Relevant professional certification such as ITIL, CISA, CISM, PMP, CRISC or equivalent.

This role is based in our Pune office.

Purpose of the role

To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk.  

Accountabilities

  • Collaboration with various stakeholders across the bank and business units to improve overall control effectiveness through detailed documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings.
  • Identification and investigation of potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls to promote continuous improvement and risk mitigation aligned to the bank’s control framework, prioritised by its severity to disrupt bank operations.
  • Development of reports to communicate key findings from risk assessment including control weaknesses and recommendations to control owners, senior management, and other stakeholders.
  • Execution of reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework aligned to established and evolving policies, regulation, and best practice.
  • Implementation of adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and set appropriate methodology of assessing controls against the Controls Framework.
