To be successful as a Vice President- Data Designer, you should have experience with:
- Having designed and develop detail data models, schemas, and database designs
- Optimize data structures for performance and scalability in alignment with business objectives
- Experience in conducting data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and propose solutions
- Understands data design specifications and maintain data dictionaries.
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL , Kafka , AWS etc).
- Conceptual understanding of Data warehousing, Elastic platforms and Cloud must
- Ability to interpret data and present it clearly to diverse audiences
Additional relevant skills given below are highly valued:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in data modeling, database design, and data governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools.
- Proficient in agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
- Experience in business analysis or product ownership, preferably in a data analytics context.
- Strong knowledge of data analytics tools and methodologies.
- Having basic understanding of financial crime domain
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Purpose of the role
To lead the development and execution of the bank's Data & Analytics strategy, aligned with the bank's overall business goals and risk appetite, ensuring data is used effectively to drive business growth, optimise operations, and mitigate risks.
Accountabilities
- Enablement of Business or Function Unit Strategy through fostering and embedding a comprehensive understanding of how data can be used, bringing thought leadership on best practices and new capabilities to deliver Business outcomes. .
- Adherence to data policies standards and controls and inform this over time, driving Data Quality in support of use cases.
- Partnership with the Business or Function leadership to lead the definition and prioritisation of data use cases, business data products and their implementation and realisation of benefit.
- Prioritisation of activity required for Data and Analytics and challenge the overall end to end design and architecture.
