Explore locationStep into your next role as a key member of the Barclays Group Technology Service Management (GTSM) team. As an application support analyst, you will use a hybrid of development and operational skills to collaborate across disciplines, applying software engineering principles to eliminate repeated manual effort (Toil) and create automated, scalable and reliable services. Actively contribute key initiatives on Operational engineering, Observability engineering, Service Risk engineering and Resiliency engineering to ensure production stability and SLA adherence to our data consumers. This role carries responsibility for supporting Operations colleagues based in 3 key Asia business locations, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. The role will support users, applications and end user tech. You will be responsible for providing client-facing end user tech support on technical infrastructure activities including second line end user tech for Operations. Hence the successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to prioritize issues, champion resolution and escalate where appropriate, internally with relevant resolving teams in Barclays, and externally with RBA.

Essential skills//Basic Qualifications:
• Previous experience in application support, preferably supporting payment systems
• Good understanding of concepts of settlement and payment processing business and end to end business process and workflows
• Good working knowledge of operating system platforms (UNIX, Linux, SQL, Windows). Familiarity and experience with scripting languages such as python.
• Understanding of high level language such as C#, java etc
• Able to utilise core technical skill and apply to a variety of trading platforms, technologies and operating platforms
• Good understanding and working knowledge of Tradefloor end-user desktop environment
• Good working knowledge of technology infrastructure for analysis and troubleshooting of issues
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
• Banking industry experience is highly desirable.
• Communicate effectively in both English and Turkish.
• Advanced Excel / VBA skills would be advantageous including data analytics in Excel
• Strong cybersecurity and compliance mindset.
• Familiarity with local regulatory systems and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

To manage the IT Services department and set the strategic direction, provide support to the bank's senior management team, and to manage IT Service risk across the organisation management of IT Services to support the banks operations and representing Technology service performance with senior stakeholders and managing IT service risk across the organisation.
