Explore locationEmbark on a transformative journey as a Senior Java Low Latency - Algo Technology. At Barclays, our vision is clear – to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. You will be part of our algo trading technology team in helping us design, develop and improve software. You will ensure the execution of agency-based algorithms in US equity trading markets. You will work on the exiting electronic trading platform and brand-new low latency global trading platform that is underway. You will be involved on trading application, market data processor and messaging middleware, all designed for speed and efficiency.
To be successful as a Senior Java Low Latency - Algo Technology, you should:
Experience working in low CORE Java technology solutions and Core Java
Experience in low latency high throughput trading applications
Experience in working high performance messaging system such as Aeron
Techniques involving CPU isolation, core pinning and NUMA
Asset Neutral Multi asset algorithmic trading systems
Other highly valued skills include:
Experience in building trading applications.
Knowledge of equities markets, execution algorithms, smart order routing.
Experience in working with market data and/or data vendors, such as Refinitiv or Exegy
Knowledge of Java and/or C++ and/or UNIX scripting
Resourceful team member, able to contribute without mush assistance from other team members
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is in Whippany, New Jersey office.
Minimum Salary: $170,000
Maximum Salary: $230,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
