Explore locationStep into a VP Markets Compliance role providing compliance guidance across the Markets business, with a focus on Credit, FX and broader markets matters. You will work closely with front-office and control functions to interpret regulatory requirements, assess conduct and market-abuse risks, support new products and business initiatives, and maintain effective controls in a changing regulatory environment. You will use data-led insights to provide oversight and constructive challenge, helping Barclays meet its legal, regulatory, and ethical responsibilities.
To be successful as a VP Markets Compliance, you should have experience with:
Identify and assess compliance risks through thorough reviews of business activities, change initiatives, processes, testing programmes and systems.
Investigate compliance risk events and breaches, providing oversight and constructive challenge of corrective actions and preventative measures designed to reduce the risk of recurrence.
Implement compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements, ensuring the bank’s internal standards remain aligned with applicable international and jurisdictional expectations.
Collaborate with the First Line of Defence, other Compliance teams, Legal and relevant risk management functions to support a coordinated approach to compliance and risk management.
Essential skills:
Relevant compliance experience at VP level within financial services.
Demonstrated pragmatism and adaptability, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global and regional teams.
Effective, solutions-focused communication, with the ability to engage business stakeholders, offer constructive challenge and build productive senior relationships.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver effectively in a complex environment.
