Join us at Barclays as a Cross Asset Sales Specialist within the Emerging Markets origination team. The EM origination team is responsible for covering local markets clients with a cross-asset class mandate on both developed market and Emerging markets products. To achieve this, the team works cooperatively with various functions including trading, structuring, legal and compliance across the value chain to deliver a seamless execution to clients while factoring in the regulatory, market, credit, legal and cross-border considerations.

You will work alongside our banking, institutional and corporate clients overseeing sales for the Israel market across a range of Asset classes. In doing so you will work with EM Origination, Structuring and Trading teams to originate structured finance transactions in specificized coverage regions. Additional focus will include increasing our footprint in the market by developing new client relationships.

To be successful as a Cross Asset Sales Specialist you should have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (eg. Finance or economics)
  • Proven experience in origination and project finance including exposure to Asset classes such as FX and Interest Rates Derivatives
  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholder
  • Efficient knowledge in local business practices/culture and excellent written/oral communication in English Language

The role is based out of our Tel Aviv, Israel office.

This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

Purpose of the role

To develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business, maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, and achieve revenue targets. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and maintenance of relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives.
  • Presentation and pitching of financial products and services to clients, tailored to their requirements.
  • Liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth execution of client requests.
  • Stay updated on market trends, financial products, and industry regulations.
  • Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to provide clients with insights and market updates.
  • Negotiation of terms and agreements with clients to finalise sales transactions.
