Explore locationStep into the role of Human Resource Generalist, where you will be assisting a diverse client group across Barclays Japan Franchise providing consultative advice and support to the business on HR related matters on the ground. You’ll be supporting a broad range of HR activities and key responsibilities which includes:
• Assisting with Talent Management and HRBP-related tasks
• Managing attendance and timekeeping processes
• Responding to various government statistical surveys
• Preparing employment-related certificates and documentation
This position will report to Japan’s Head of HR/People Leader Support Lead. In this role, we require someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable and capable of balancing operational tasks with strategic HR initiatives. You will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, along with native-level proficiency in Japanese. Demonstrating a strong track record of working in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment, with strong influencing, communication and negotiation skills. Additionally, you should have the ability to work quickly, accurately and understanding the importance of confidentiality coupled with outstanding integrity. Knowledge of Employment Laws, tax and pay structures in Japan would be a big plus.
