The chance to make an impact


Over your time as an analyst, you’ll develop a solid understanding of the global markets while building your communication, quantitative and analytical skills. After intensive initial training, you will start your career as a salesperson, a structurer or a trader.

• Foreign Exchange
• Rates
• Credit
• Equities


Within small teams, you’ll quickly play an important role on a variety of demanding assignments. You may:


• analyse and develop solutions to clients’ needs
• monitor markets and formulate trade ideas
• perform various analyses on fundamental and technical dat
• attend client meetings or calls with traders, salespeople, structurers and research colleagues
• participate in pricing products
• help out with daily tasks such as trade reporting or P&L analysis
• assist with managing risk of the team’s trading books.

Your role as a Global Markets analyst will provide you with the skills and experience needed for a successful career in the world of finance. The analyst program will help provide a visible path to the necessary steps for promotion to assistant vice president and the tools to get you there.


To be considered for this program, you must:


• successfully complete an undergraduate or postgraduate degree between September 2025 – June 2026


Ideally, you would also have:


• unrestricted work authorisation in Japan
• resourcefulness, team-orientation, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrated through participation in extracurricular activities
• a good blend of technical skills and interpersonal skills.

Purpose of the role

To participate in the day-to-day activities of the markets division providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.

Accountabilities

  • Execution of small research projects, research to support strategic decision making, preparation of presentations and reports to communicate research findings, collaboration with senior management to implement research findings for the global markets division.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
  • Participation in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, management of the deployment and launch of new products and services for the global markets division.
  • Management of the development and implementation of financial models and strategies that support in decision making in the global markets division.
