Transformation Senior Consultant
London or Northampton

As a Barclays Transformation Senior Consultant, you will leverage your unique technical expertise for the identification of cost-saving opportunities across Barclays UK. You will be instrumental in supporting Barclays UK meet its financial targets and solve its operational challenges. On a project-by-project basis and through complex, in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis, you will recommend innovative solutions that drive operational change with subsequent financial and non-financial benefits, influencing to MD level.

This role will be based from either London or Northampton. We will confirm your place of work at the point of offer, ensuring that this is considered in line with our future ways of working and overall location strategy. At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). What will you be doing?
•    Being responsible for leveraging technical expertise to identify c£5m – £10m of new cost-saving opportunities per annum across Barclays U
•    Managing cost transformation projects in small and agile teams and influencing to create virtual teams, looking at end-to-end and complex processes across Barclays UK
•    Acting as an advisor and put forward innovative recommendations based on deep-dive, complex quantitative and qualitative analytics and interpretative thinking 
•    Being responsible for presenting at ExCo and MD-level on a regular basis, utilsing expert level communication and influencing ability to gain sign-off to proposed recommendations
•    Acting as a strategic partner for all business cost leads to support the respective areas in meeting their cost and wider financial challenges
•    Managing and influencing across senior leaders, the PODs and the Enterprise Programmes to collaborate and drive effective change recommendations
•    Being responsible for developing and standardizing tools and methodologies that can be used across multiple projects, setting the strategic direction for ways of working
•    Being responsible for utilising external and internal benchmarking sources to set the right targets and ambition for the business

•    Financial reporting/analysis experience – reviewing and understanding P&L, balance sheet and cash statements

London:
In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.

Northampton:
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
