What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Business Analyst, AVP in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

  • Provide business analysis and subject matter expertise in Broadridge applications IMPACT, BPS, MBS Expert and ClearancePro to execute projects in the US domestic settlements post-trade technology;
  • Coordinate with the global front, middle and back office teams for requirements gathering and prepare the business and functional requirements;
  • Analyze requirements and provide business solutions or workarounds and provide estimates;
  • Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve business problems and data quality issues in production environment;
  • Coordinate, test and implement vendor upgrades, bug fixes and enhancements by following Barclays change management procedures;
  • Communicate status and updates to the stakeholders and management on projects;
  • Create reports and data extracts as per business requirements from the front/middle/back office users and operation teams;
  • Engage with stakeholders and 3rd party vendors and external agencies in testing and implementing Industry Initiatives within the relevant post trade application suite including IMPACT, BPS, MBS Expert & ClearancePro; and
  • May telecommute.

Purpose of the role

To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
  • Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
  • Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.
