Explore locationEmbark on a transformative journey with Barclays as a Market Surveillance VP. Your role will serve as a subject matter expert in the Surveillance function, helping to deliver on the Surveillance strategy in support of the AMER Head of Market Surveillance. In particular, your role will have a strong focus on the regulatory landscape in the Americas, assisting with regulatory engagements and responding to inquiries in a sufficient and timely manner. In addition, your role will focus on project leadership, helping the global team deliver on the Surveillance book of work.
To be successful as a Market Surveillance VP, you should have experience with:
Knowledge of Surveillance platforms (e.g. Nasdaq SMARTs, Actimize)
A background in Market Surveillance, Regulatory Relations, Securities Trading, Compliance, or Operational leadership roles
Experience engaging with regulatory bodies as well as internal/external auditors
Experience of working in a global Compliance environment
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience with responding to regulatory inquiries and taking part in audits and/or regulatory exams
A history of successful project execution
Financial Crime / Compliance / Risk Management related qualification preferred but not required
Subject matter expertise in Fixed Income or Exchange Traded Products preferred
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in the Whippany, NJ office.
Minimum Salary $145,000
Maximum Salary $200,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

This position is eligible for an incentive award.
Purpose of the role
To monitor and analyse market activity for potential signs of abuse or manipulation, verifying that there is adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies and taking action to mitigate market misconduct.
