Explore locationEmbark on a transformative journey as a Senior Product Taxonomy Project Manager – VP. At Barclays, our vision is clear –to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership for one of the firm’s most critical Markets data projects. You will be accountable for driving the end‑to‑end delivery of the Product Taxonomy (PTAX) platform and leading the firmwide adoption agenda, enhancing data controls, reducing operational risk, and enabling scalable downstream consumption across Risk, Finance, and Regulatory Reporting. As a senior leader, you will work closely with executive stakeholders to translate strategy into measurable outcomes and long‑term value for Barclays.
To be successful as a Project Manager, you should have:
Experience delivering or governing product master / reference data platforms, such as GoldenSource or equivalent strategic vendor solutions
Demonstrated experience supporting large scale, multiyear data or reference data transformation programmes within a global financial services organization
Demonstrated experience of executive stakeholder management, including steering committees, design authorities, and senior governance forums
Validated ability to have responsibility for delivery across both Run the Bank and strategic change, ensuring operational stability while driving transformation outcomes
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to set direction, influence without authority, and hold teams accountable for outcomes
Other highly valued skills include:
Considerable knowledge of Markets products, product taxonomy, and trade lifecycle, with awareness of downstream consumers across Risk, Finance, Valuation, and Regulatory Reporting
Experience in change and transformation leadership, including operating model evolution, adoption strategy, and benefits realization
Ability to manage complex delivery dependencies across global technology and data teams, including onshore/offshore models
Experience contributing to or supporting data governance, design authority, or regulatory remediation forums
Deep understanding of risk, controls, and regulatory expectations associated with critical data assets and enterprise-wide adoption
This role is located in our Whippany, New Jersey office.
Minimum Salary: $155,000
Maximum Salary: $225,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
