Barclays Services Corp. seeks AVP, Quantitative Analyst BI Retail Credit Risk Modeler in Wilmington, DE (multiple positions available):
Develop account level multivariate and time series econometric models to predict credit risk using statistical methods including logistic regression, linear regression, generalized linear regression decision tree and machine learning techniques.
Perform project design, predictive model development, strategy development, creation of production code, and implementation of models.
Leverage knowledge of statistics, economics, mathematics, and programming techniques to develop financial tools used by internal business units to quantify and mange credit risk.
Utilize Hadoop, SQL, and Spark to extract relevant features from raw data sources, perform feature engineering, derive target variables, and construct data structures to fit multiple model development purposes.
Produce comprehensive documentation to ensure models can be replicated.
Predict model adherence to internal, external, and regulatory requirements.
Provide intellectual leadership and analytical support to clients.
Assist clients developing best in class practices throughout product life cycle (targeting, underwriting, Existing Customer Management, Collections, Recoveries).
Leverage knowledge of SAS GRID and Hadoop databases, Unix servers, and account level and transactional level data to construct complex optimization, regression, and machine learning tools.
Communicate model development techniques to senior management, model owners, regulators, and auditors and collaborate with Chief Risk Officer team and Independent Validation Unit team to deep dive modeling results.
Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with the firm-wide and industry practices.
Draft production code and collaborate with implementation team to perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and drive model implementation into production.
May telecommute.
