What will you be doing?

Barclays Bank Delaware seeks Credit Strategy Sr. Analyst in Wilmington, DE (multiple positions available):

1.    Work on development of underwriting and line assignment strategies leveraging bureau data, application data, alternative data, partner data and other new data sources, connecting future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating monitoring reports and analysis to support improvements in credit performance.
2.    Constantly monitor credit and acquisition strategies by analyzing acquisition and performance data using analytical tools and database such as SAS, Oracle and Python, dedicating to make strategic and tactical recommendations and strategy enhancement.
3.    Responsible for closely monitoring consumer performance with multiple internal risk models and manage to build targeted insights to inform the design and development of acquisition criteria and process.
4.    Responsible for working on strategy implementation and validation, and partner level performance tracking for both internal and external reporting.
5.    Statistical analysis techniques include CHAID Decision Trees, optimization procedures, loss forecasting, enhanced process monitoring, and data quality analyses.
6.    Responsible for identification, collection, extraction of data from various sources, including internal and external sources, performing data cleaning, wrangling, and transformation to ensure its quality and suitability for analysis.
7.    Responsible for using innovative data analytics and machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from the bank's data reserves, leveraging these insights to inform strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation across the organization.
8.    Design and conduct of statistical and machine learning models to analyze patterns, trends, and relationships in the data; developing and monitoring customized acquisition underwriting and initial line assignment process, including simulation use predictive data from credit bureau and historical internal data.
9.    May telecommute.

Purpose of the role

To use innovative data analytics and machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from the bank's data reserves, leveraging these insights to inform strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation across the organisation. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification, collection, extraction of data from various sources, including internal and external sources.
  • Performing data cleaning, wrangling, and transformation to ensure its quality and suitability for analysis.
  • Development and maintenance of efficient data pipelines for automated data acquisition and processing.
  • Design and conduct of statistical and machine learning models to analyse patterns, trends, and relationships in the data.
  • Development and implementation of predictive models to forecast future outcomes and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to seek out opportunities to add value from data through Data Science.
