We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a VP – Acquisitions Lead. In this role, you will be supporting our newest partner, General Motors, which is set to launch in 2025. This program represents a significant contribution to the strategic goals of the business. The candidate filling this role will balance many competing objectives and work with both internal and external teams to ensure alignment and delivery against goals, including:

  • Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with key internal and external contacts, which includes leading weekly calls and face to face meetings with the partner
  • Overseeing the build for acquisitions campaigns and offers, working together with Marketing and Operations teams
  • Balancing partner requests, P&L management, and the execution of growth strategies
  • Creating and deliver monthly reporting to partner
  • Demonstrating strong analytical skills, understand the program P&L and underlying account behaviors, and have the ability to diagnose drivers that positively or negatively influence performance

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 8+ years’ experience in a marketing-related role
  • 5+ years’ experience in a partner-facing role working with partnership credit card products
  • Experience in new customer acquisition and/or existing customer marketing

This role is located in Wilmington, Delaware. Some travel is required (10%-20%).

Purpose of the role

To manage partnership relationship management and set the strategic direction. Provide support to the bank's senior management team, and to manage partnership relationship management risk across the organisation. 

Accountabilities

  • Development of strategic direction for partnership relationship management, including the implementation of up to date methodologies and processes.
  • Management of partnership relationship management, including oversight of colleagues and their performance, implementation of departmental goals and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness.  .
  • Relationship management of partnership relationship management stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third party services.
  • Development and implementation of policies and procedures for partnership relationship management.
  • Management of partnership relationship management risk, including identification of potential risks, development of strategies to mitigate those risks, and maintenance of alignment between the bank’s partnership relationship management and compliance functions.  .
  • Monitoring the financial performance of the partnership relationship management department, including revenue, profitability, and cost control.
  • Conducting thorough market research to understand market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify market opportunities.
