What will you be doing?

Barclays Services LLC seeks VP, Full Stack Engineer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

  • On behalf of a global financial services organization, analyze user needs and application requirements to determine system performance standards and deliver solutions within a DevOps environment, focusing on automation of testing and deployment.
  • Design, develop, and test applications through continuous integration, deployment and delivery.
  • Support the Fraud Technology team, responsible for assessing risk and developing technology to mitigate fraud and protect company products and services.
  • Develop applications with machine learning components using Agile software development including Java.
  • Design rules within INSTINCT and formulate strategies across various environments to machine learning models.
  • Maintain the Fraud Decision gateway, the first point of interaction for all upstream channels of Barclays US Consumer Bank to identify and verify customers via the INSTINCT Rule Engine platform.
  • Review rules with various stakeholders including fraud strategy and analytics team.
  • Create and refactor programs in accordance with the design, following relevant code management procedures and applying agreed coding standards.
  • Design and develop application architecture vision delta to articulate changes and impacts on the wider enterprise platform for the Fraud Machine learning platform and Identity and Verification Platform.
  • Responsible for End-To-End integration of the Vendor Systems, upstream API consuming channels, and downstream dependencies.
  • Review their integration details including software tools, network security certificates, and encryption algorithms.
  • Supervise and train a technical team, including four (4) subordinates holding the titles of Sr. Engineer, Software Engineer and Full Stack Developer.

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
