Explore locationJoin us at Barclays as a Controls Assurance Services - Tester . In this role you will Provide controls assurance on processes/controls covering principal risks such as Supplier Risk, Premises, Change Management etc. You will govern the end-to-end delivery of the Controls Testing Framework to understand and report on control effectiveness within the business while also reviewing activities to remediate control gaps and assess whether the risk has been fully mitigated and whether the implemented controls are sustainable for the business. In role you will Identify, evaluate, report and escalate risks in line with Barclays risk and control frameworks, utilising relevant tools and analytical techniques and provide guidance to ensure compliance with relevant policies, standards, frameworks and procedures across Business Units, Functions and Shared Services.
To be successful as a Controls Assurance Services - Tester you should have:
Experience of working in a risk, control, audit or governance function. Strong report writing skills and project management skills.
Pro-active and delivery focused, working to high standards of performance.
Ability to prioritise and work under pressure, delivering to tight deadlines and multiple demands.
Ability to influence others and relay information in a clear and concise manner.
Knowledge of the Financial Services, Banking or regulatory environment or Experience of working within the financial services industry.
Some other highly valued skills include:
Experience with data analytics tools and techniques, technology controls testing would be significantly beneficial.
Knowledge or background within auditing, internal or external or compliance testing.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job specific technical skills.
This role will be based out of Glasgow.
Purpose of the role
To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk.
