To be successful as a Engineering Lead, you should have the following essential skills:
Knowledge of data lineage, metadata management, and data governance frameworks.
Experience with Business Intelligence and reporting platforms, including Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik.
Validated experience working with modern data platforms and architectures, including Databricks, Snowflake, and Lakehouse solutions.
Ability to design and implement scalable data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and business decision-making.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Ample expertise in data modelling, data architecture, and data quality management practices.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and multi-faceted data modelling techniques.
Experience designing and supporting ETL/ELT processes and end-to-end data pipelines.
Familiarity with cloud-based data engineering and analytics ecosystems.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role will be based in our Glasgow office.
