AI/ML Data Scientist

Step into a role of AI/ML Data Scientist, where you'll provide first-class support by conducting in-depth due diligence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and safeguarding our clients and organization with expertise and care. You must take responsibility for controlling risk and enhancing controls in connection to your job and areas of responsibility in accordance with rules and regulations.

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role such as:

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.

• Solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms, including NLP.

• Experience with SQL.

• Hands-on experience with Spark/ PySpark.

• Expertise in predictive model development.

• Understanding of model lifecycle, including monitoring, governance, and deployment.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Bitbucket, etc.

• Experience is project management using JIRA.
  

Additional preferred skills include.

• Experience with DevOps tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, etc.

• Knowledge of the Financial/Banking Domain.

• Familiarity with GenAI tools and their applications.

• Experience with AWS.

• Experience with Databricks.

This position is based out of Gurugram.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop, implement, and support mathematical, statistical, and machine learning models and analytics used in business decision-making

Accountabilities

• Design analytics and modelling solutions to complex business problems using domain expertise.
• Collaboration with technology to specify any dependencies required for analytical solutions, such as data, development environments and tools.
• Development of high performing, comprehensively documented analytics and modelling solutions, demonstrating their efficacy to business users and independent validation teams.
• Implementation of analytics and models in accurate, stable, well-tested software and work with technology to operationalise them.
• Provision of ongoing support for the continued effectiveness of analytics and modelling solutions to users.
• Demonstrate conformance to all Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Policies, particularly Model Risk Policy.
• Ensure all development activities are undertaken within the defined control environment.
