The overall purpose is to manage the controls for collections operations.  This includes providing the operational teams guidance and check & challenge on control requirements, alignment, and creation.  Responsible for RCSA activities, reviews of policy/standards as changes occur, and process reviews to ensure processes are properly documented and any gaps are identified and remediated.

To be successful as an AVP Control Lead, you should have experience with:

  • Banking regulations and regulatory processes

  • Effective risk management and how controls impact risk assessments

  • Managing multiple projects with good organizational and time management skills at the same time

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Knowledge in collections operations process

  • Experience with control related systems such as ORAC, Sentinel

  • General knowledge of process mapping (Blueworks) and how to effectively document process steps, risks and controls including gaps and control enhancement/automation opportunities

This role is located in Henderson, NV and Wilmington, DE.

Salary for Henderson, NV:

Minimum Salary: $70,000

Maximum Salary: $140,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To monitor quality standards and policies and support the implementation of these across all operational processes. To collaborate with control owners to execution Risk Control Self Assessments (RSCA) that measure the effectiveness of controls. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification of regulatory trends and industry developments that may impact the banks operations.
  • Support the implementation of quality standards and policies by collaborating across all operational teams and processes.
  • Development of reports and presentations on control performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives aimed to improve control efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaboration with Control Owners to develop and manage RCSA to monitor design effectiveness, appropriateness of controls, compliance to regulatory requirements and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support operational teams with the formal escalation and management of incidents, departmental procedures, record management and controls testing.
