Explore locationJoin us a Business Oversight Compliance Everyday Money Management VP and you will provide compliance oversight, advice and guidance to Barclays UK business areas. This includes; oversight of the management of conduct risk by the business and providing technical guidance, support and tailored feedback on regulatory issues to ensure that new business proposals as well as existing processes, systems and controls comply with regulatory obligations and Barclays own standards.
The role will focus on oversight of the credit card business, working jointly and collaboratively with one other VP.
To be successful as a Business Oversight Compliance VP, you should have;
Ability to influence stakeholders to achieve the appropriate outcomes; you will collaborate with 1LOD, other relevant Compliance teams and legal, and relevant risk management functions to facilitate a comprehensive approach to compliance and risk management.
Proven analytical and interpretative skills to enable informed judgements to be made, including identification and assessment of compliance risks through thorough reviews of business activities, changes, processes, testing and systems to
Experience of conducting investigation of compliance risk events or breaches. Oversight and check and challenge of corrective actions and preventative measures to avoid future occurrences
Other preferrable skills for the role include;
Regulations and compliance experience
Retails products experience, specifically credit card business experience is preferred
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role can be based in London, Glasgow, Northampton or Manchester.
Purpose of the role
To provide data-led expert oversight and check and challenge on business and compliance matters to evidence that the organisation is operating in a compliance with Barclays legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities.
