The purpose of the role is to lead the maturity, adoption and effective operation of the Architecture Standard. Partner with Architecture, Engineering, Technology, Risk and Control stakeholders to translate Architecture standard control requirements and practices into practical guidance, hands on training, patterns, workflow guardrails and measurable engineering outcomes. Assess control maturity, address gaps and drive sustainable improvements across governance, tooling, reporting and architecture practices. Champion architecture models and improve architecture literacy through creating Community evangelism, while influencing senior stakeholders, resolving cross-functional issues and supporting sound governance decisions. Own and continuously enhance the key central artefacts mandated by the Standard and its refresh cycle, acting as the Architecture SME for the Standard
To be Successful as an Enterprise Architect you should have experience in:
Enterprise architecture and standards: Ability to turn strategic architecture direction into practical delivery expectations.
Engineering workflow integration: Experience embedding architecture governance and controls into agile delivery and tooling.
SME Architecture: Ability to create, assess and communicate clear architecture views with comprehensive understanding of Architecture practices.
Risk and control good understanding of control design, operation, evidence, exceptions and assurance.
Stakeholder influence: Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders in a multi-layered organisation.
Other skills Include:
Significant enterprise, solution or software architecture experience in a large organisation.
Knowledge of Architecture practices and risk management related to Platform engineering.
Experience with architecture repositories, workflow tools, dashboards and maturity assessments.
Financial services or regulated-industry experience; TOGAF or equivalent certification is desirable.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

To develop, and evolve the banks technology architecture through relevant solutions, strategies and execution plans aligned to and prioritized by business and technology objectives, including the development, evolution and adoption of foundational platforms and products.
