To design, build, and maintain infrastructure platforms that support our applications and data systems across hardware, software, networks, and cloud environments. You'll ensure these systems are reliable, scalable, and secure by applying software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response to drive performance, availability, and resilience.
To be successful as a Software Engineer, you should have experience with:
Infrastructure automation to improve efficiency.
Python programming for developing tools, scripts, and automation workflows.
Oracle or Ansible for managing enterprise databases or automating configuration and deployment.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Using Jira to track and manage development work effectively.
CI/CD pipeline development experience using GitLab to streamline code integration and deployment.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is based in Knutsford.
Purpose of the role
To build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems, using hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing platforms as required with the aim of ensuring that the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure. Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of the systems, platforms, and technology through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response.
