Explore locationJoin us as a Commercial and Pricing Manager where you will drive the commercial performance and growth of our Insurance business within the UK Retail Bank. Supporting a portfolio of 1.2 million customers, you will play a pivotal role in delivering our strategic ambition to grow and diversify revenue through insurance products and services. Working closely with Finance, Product, Sales and senior leadership teams, as well as external partners, you will drive pricing and commercial effectiveness, challenge suppliers, lead contract discussions, oversee business investment decisions, and identify opportunities for sustainable growth while balancing risk and reward. This is a highly visible role requiring solid commercial acumen, stakeholder management skills, and the confidence to influence both internal and external audiences.
To be successful as a Commercial and Pricing Manager, you must have the following essential skills:
Solid commercial acumen with experience in investment prioritisation, evaluating business cases, optimising resource utilisation, and challenging expenditure to maximise value.
Commercial management experience, including oversight of a P&L and the ability to assess the financial and commercial performance of products or services.
Experience managing and influencing external suppliers, vendors, or strategic partners.
Proven ability to analyse complex data, identify trends and insights, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to identify risks and opportunities, drive commercial optimisation, and lead organisational change.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience or understanding of insurance products and services.
Professional finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role will be based in London or Northampton.
