Explore locationJoin us as a Senior Portfolio Manager where you’ll play a key role in shaping and optimising Barclays’ global liquidity portfolio, driving income delivery and balance sheet performance. You’ll work at the heart of Liquidity Product, partnering with Sales, Coverage, and Treasury to structure innovative liquidity solutions and support complex client transactions. This is a highly strategic role, contributing to pricing strategy, portfolio analytics, and the development of a stable funding base aligned to Group objectives. You’ll build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on liquidity management best practices and market insights. In addition, you’ll support the delivery of key growth initiatives and help define the medium-term strategic direction for the portfolio. This is an opportunity to combine commercial acumen, analytical expertise, and stakeholder influence to drive impactful outcomes across the Corporate Bank.
Essential Skills / Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in strategic and/or client-facing roles, with the ability to engage stakeholders beyond traditional sales or pitching environments
Good understanding of liquidity market dynamics, including competitor landscape, with the ability to continue developing and deepening market insight
Established grasp of how banks generate returns for shareholders, including an understanding of balance sheet management and optimisation
Desirable Skills / Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant external or regulatory qualifications (e.g. ACT Certificate in International Cash Management, CIMA, ACA)
Good knowledge of liquidity management products, with an understanding of transaction banking products preferred
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills
