Join us at Barclays as a Transaction Management Specialist. You will be aligned to Securitised Products within the Transaction Management Group. FI Structured Finance at Barclays sits within Global Markets and is comprised of Structured Credit and Securitized Products.

This is a rapidly growing, global business which focuses on trading bespoke financing solutions to a wide range of clients. The business is supported by a dedicated team of 100+ Traders, Structurers and Sales staff located in London, New York, Singapore and Mumbai.

As an important member of our team you will work alongside the trading & structuring desks in EMEA. You will maintain the highest standards of trade capture, lifecycle management and monitoring which are crucial to the firm's risk management. This will also involve front line support of Securitised Products business activities as well as platform improvement.

To be successful as a Transaction Management Specialist you should:

  • Demonstrate excellent collaboration and respond well to high intensity and challenging environments

  • Have a relevant financial services professional background
  • Evidence experience/good understanding of bonds and loan products

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Specific Structured Finance product knowledge.
  • Experience of handling/resolving P&L queries
  • A highly proficient user in Excel to assist with in-house queries

Your role will be based out of our Canary Wharf, London office.

Purpose of the role

To maintain the smooth and efficient operation of our trading desks, providing operational support and expertise to traders, sales professionals, and other key stakeholders, helping them maximize their productivity and minimize disruptions and handling administrative tasks, and providing market information and research. 

Accountabilities

  • Provision of immediate and efficient technical support to traders and sales professionals on the trading desks, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure uninterrupted trading activities.
  • Coordination of trade execution by liaising with traders, clients, and other internal teams to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Maintenance and updating of trade records, transaction logs, and client databases accurately.
  • Reports, presentations, and documentation preparation to support sales and trading activities.
  • Monitoring of market data and assist in the analysis of financial information for trading decisions.
  • Operational tasks such as processing trades, confirming orders, and resolving trade discrepancies.
