Join us as an Analyst on the Equity Linked and Financing Solutions Analyst ("ELFS") team at Barclays where you’ll play a key role in all aspects of originating and executing equity-linked transactions. This includes including identifying target clients, coordinating with our investment banking coverage and product partners, preparing pitch presentations for new and existing clients, performing analysis and valuations, running internal approval processes, understanding and helping prepare documentation for transactions and becoming a central member of deal teams executing equity linked capital raises. The ELFS team sits within the Equity Capital Markets team of Investment Banking, and advises corporate and sponsor clients across all industries on equity-linked issuance (convertible bonds, mandatories, convertible preferred, etc.) and other aspects of the equity-linked capital markets including structured share repurchase, margin loans and equity hedging.

To be successful as an Equity Linked and Financing Solutions Analyst, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Strong Analytical skills, attention to detail

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Experience in a finance role

  • Previous experience executing capital markets transactions

  • Familiarity with equity derivatives

This role is FINRA regulated

Minimum Salary: $110,000

Maximum Salary: $135,000

Purpose of the role
To raise capital and manage the financial risk of clients, including financial advisory services, identification and origination of market opportunities, research, economic analysis.  

Accountabilities

  • Development and maintenance of strong relationships with corporate, financial and institutional clients to understand their financing needs and objectives.  .
  • Development and maintenance of complex financial models to assess the value of assets, companies, or securities and identify the most appropriate structuring of capital raising initiatives, including equity financing via an initial public offerings, investment grade debt underwriting, leveraged financing solutions for non-investment grade clients, or derivative hedging solutions.  .
  • Collaboration with Coverage, M&A, Syndicate, Global Markets, and cross functional teams to ensure successful origination, company due diligence, and execution of various capital market transactions.  .
  • Identification, assessment, and management of risks associated with capital markets transactions and development of risk mitigation strategies in alignment with regulatory requirements.  .
  • Research, financial data analysis and continued development of market insights and investment recommendations.  .
