Join us as an Equity-Linked and Financing Solutions Analyst (ELFS) at Barclays, where you’ll play a key role in all aspects of originating and executing equity-linked transactions. This includes working with, and advising, publicly traded companies on their capital structure to execute convertible debt offerings, structured share repurchases and hedging or monetization trades, among other equity-linked transactions. Furthermore, you will help negotiate, structure and lend in facilities to private equity firms against their equity stakes in public and private companies. You’ll be in constant dialogue with our capital markets products, investment banking coverage and equity sales and trading partners, coordinating to target clients, prepare pitch presentations for new and existing clients, perform analysis and valuations, run internal approval processes, understand and help prepare documentation for transactions, and become a central member of deal teams executing equity linked capital raises. ELFS sits at the intersection of the Barclays push for increased collaboration between Banking & Markets divisions.

To be successful as an Equity-Linked and Financing Solutions Analyst, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Ample analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work efficiently across a product suite with varying paces of workstreams

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Experience in a finance role

  • Previous experience executing capital markets transactions

  • Familiarity with equity derivatives

This role is FINRA regulated.

Minimum Salary: $110,000

Maximum Salary: $135,000

Purpose of the role
To raise capital and manage the financial risk of clients, including financial advisory services, identification and origination of market opportunities, research, economic analysis.  

Accountabilities

  • Development and maintenance of strong relationships with corporate, financial and institutional clients to understand their financing needs and objectives.  .
  • Development and maintenance of complex financial models to assess the value of assets, companies, or securities and identify the most appropriate structuring of capital raising initiatives, including equity financing via an initial public offerings, investment grade debt underwriting, leveraged financing solutions for non-investment grade clients, or derivative hedging solutions.  .
  • Collaboration with Coverage, M&A, Syndicate, Global Markets, and cross functional teams to ensure successful origination, company due diligence, and execution of various capital market transactions.  .
  • Identification, assessment, and management of risks associated with capital markets transactions and development of risk mitigation strategies in alignment with regulatory requirements.  .
  • Research, financial data analysis and continued development of market insights and investment recommendations.  .
