Explore locationJoin Barclays as a Global Markets VP. In this role, you will drive the modernization of our linear rates analytics infrastructure: maintaining and extending production analytics libraries, building automated reporting pipelines, and developing real-time streaming capabilities. The role blends quantitative development with an automation mindset, building robust frameworks and services that are used across the business.
To be successful as a Global Markets VP, you should have:
Excellent Python and C++ programming skills
Proven quantitative understanding of linear rates products and how they are priced and risk-managed
Ownership mentality and ability to support multi-faceted projects end-to-end
Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Knowledge of interest rate curve construction techniques
Experience with event-driven or stream-processing architectures (KDB+, Kafka etc.)
Experience building automated workflows and data pipelines in a quantitative or trading environment
Experience working within large, complex C++ and Python codebases

This role is based in Mexico-City.

To provide quantitative and analytical expertise to support trading strategies, risk management, and decision-making within the investment banking domain, applying quantitative analysis, mathematical modelling, and technology to optimise trading and investment opportunities.
