Join us as an Investment Analyst in our Private Banking and Wealth Management team based in Monaco.

In this role you will contribute to the development of the advisory service with full support to investment advisors in the day-to-day activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Collect, analyze and interpret clients’ financial data
    • Develop tailored reporting and ad hoc analyses on portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities
    • Leverage coding and data management tools (advanced VBA, SQL, Access; other programming language a plus) to automate and enhance reporting processes
  • Implementation & Support within Investment Advisory
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of investment products and services, in coordination with investment advisors
    • Provide analytical and technical support to investment advisors
    • Build strong expertise in a wide range of investment solutions (equities, bonds, funds, alternative investments)
  • Investment Advisory & Client Support
    • Prepare and deliver detailed investment proposals and presentations, tailored to clients’ profiles, objectives, and risk appetite
    • Monitor the performance of implemented investments
  • Risk Management & Compliance
    • Identify, assess and monitor investment risks across products and client portfolios
    • Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements, local laws, and internal Barclays policies
    • Document, escalate, and report anomalies or breaches in accordance with compliance procedures
  • Cross-functional Contribution
    • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across functions (Front Office, Middle Office, Compliance, Risk)
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to innovation in investment processes
    • Support market research activities and provide strategic insights to the Advisory team


Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in financial analysis, portfolio management, or investment advisory
  • Knowledge of financial products: equities, fixed income, derivatives, funds, and alternative investments
  • Good understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build trusted relationships with stakeholders
  • Fluent in English and French (spoken and written)


Desirable Criteria:

  • Advanced skills in coding and data management (VBA, SQL, Access)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with rigorous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written

This role is based in Monaco.

Purpose of the role

To develop and manage the success of specific financial products and services, providing in-depth expertise on a particular product line, bridging the gap between product development, marketing, sales, and customer service. 

Accountabilities

  • Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues, including features, functionalities, benefits, limitations, risks and compliance.
  • Understanding of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks, and analysis of data obtained from sales figures and, customer feedback, to support the product development process, and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders to improve product offerings.
  • Response to customer inquiries, attend client meetings and obtain a detailed understanding of complex personal / corporate financial circumstances in order to provide options for suitable product solutions. Support with resolution of issues, and provision of guidance on product usage.  .
  • Presentation of the advantages and features of the product to potential customers, building trust and encouraging adoption.
  • Assistance with the development and execution of marketing materials for the product, such as pitch materials and client presentations.
  • Participation in training sessions and workshops to share product knowledge and expertise with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Participation in events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to showcase the product and generate interest.
