In this role, you will focus on all aspects of acquisition credit strategy within the airline space. You will help improve the underwriting strategy, implementation testing, and generating dashboards. You'll be required to keep up with, and perform within, the regulations and control guidelines. To be successful as an AVP Acquisition Credit Strategies, you should have:

  • Experience in developing and monitoring underwriting and credit line assignment strategies for lending products (credit card experience preferred)

  • Strong analytical acumen with ability to draw insights from vast amount of data

  • Experience with Python, SAS/SQL or other relevant statistical tools.

  • Proficiency with analytical software (Python), SQL tools (Oracle), Unix platforms, and MS Office

  • Familiarity with loss forecasting, improving the underwriting criteria, and implementation testing

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly, in both written and verbal form.

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and thrive in a dynamic and brisk environment

  • Knowledge of statistic principals

  • Ability to understand the nuance of strategy

  • Knowledge of credit regulations and controls

This role is located in our New York, NY office.

Minimum Salary: $110,000

Maximum Salary: $155,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To use innovative data analytics and machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from the bank's data reserves, leveraging these insights to inform strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation across the organisation. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification, collection, extraction of data from various sources, including internal and external sources.
  • Performing data cleaning, wrangling, and transformation to ensure its quality and suitability for analysis.
  • Development and maintenance of efficient data pipelines for automated data acquisition and processing.
  • Design and conduct of statistical and machine learning models to analyse patterns, trends, and relationships in the data.
  • Development and implementation of predictive models to forecast future outcomes and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to seek out opportunities to add value from data through Data Science.
